May 24 (Bloomberg) — A New York-area Super Bowl may become a reality this week. The joint bid by New Yorks Giants and Jets has received support from National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell and is favored to land the 2014 championship game over Miami and Tampa, Florida, which have hosted a combined 14 Super Bowls.
